So, I did something wild, I quit.
No backup plan, no safety net. Just a mortgage in a high-taxed coastal town, a baby, an incredibly understanding yet concerned husband, and a gut feeling I couldn’t ignore.
Some called it postpartum anxiety. Others, a midlife crisis. But sitting in my hometown outside Chicago, watching my dad battle advanced dementia, something in me just... broke.
